This basic but functional 3"W Boar Bristle Pastry/Basting Brush with Hook and Concave Head can be used for coating fluffy fresh baked pastries with butter, egg wash, or water. The unique and innovative concave brush head design allows the brush to sit on the counter without its bristles touching the surface, which prevents cross contamination. The heavy duty hook molded into the brush head hangs on the lip of crocks or other containers to keep the brush clean and cool and prevent contamination. The hook also prevents bristle burn, melt, or distortion from resting against hot pan bottoms. This pastry brush with concave head and hook has a 3" brush width and a 6" handle with an oval loop at the end of its handle for easy storage. Able to reliably withstand frequent use, the bristles on this brush work in up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, while the handle can withstand 220 degrees Fahrenheit. With its larger size, this brush is helpful for spreading liquids or sauce, making it great for tasks such as making a pizza or oiling a pan.
