Viking Heavy Duty Type 280-UB Silver & Deming HSS Drill Bit with Black & Gold surface treatment. The 135° split point design is self-centering and self-starting, preventing the drill bit from walking on the material surface and eliminating the need for a center punch or pilot hole. Black and Gold surface treatment provides additional lubricity, reduces wear and assists swarf in traveling along the flutes with less resistance as it exits the hole during drilling. Positive chuck grip is achieved with the 3-Flats on shank design, making the bits ideal for use in drills with Jacob style keyed or keyless chucks. Made in America using high moly alloy tool steel, the heavy-duty construction of these HSS Silver & Deming bits makes them ideal for use in hard metals, work hardening grades of stainless steel, and other difficult to drill materials.
